Reactor – a place for creative experiments is an energetic cultural center in a city that is more and more open to alternative artistic experiences. Both a bubble in the middle of the city and a place deeply connected with it, Reactor comprises an independent theater, an exhibition venue, and also a small library.

Founded in 2014, Reactor has gradually increased its aspirations and projects, mostly focusing on supporting young artists and contemporary playwriting, but also on audience development or social awareness. Reactor’s little sister is MiniREACTOR, which offers a program of performances, workshops and other activities for the youngest inhabitants of Cluj.

The fact that Reactor is open to people and ideas has transformed it into a catalyst for the creative energies of Cluj, a place that doesn’t restrict freedom of expression and encourages artistic experimentation. The belief that a rich cultural environment is essential for the development of a city, its quality of life and its public, is just one of the reasons why Reactor collaborates, exchanges ideas and maintains close relationships with other members of the local, national and international artistic community.
