A room with a single bed, a door and a window looking out onto nothing. "Ale mele" ("Mine") is a show about the illusion of comfort and about the things that tie us to one another so tightly that we stop seeing ourselves as whole people. How hard is it to leave when everything seems perfect?
"Ale mele" is a play about two siblings coming to terms with their mother's death. At the same time, it's a text about two adults, about childhood trauma, about isolation, codependency and forced growing-up. And at the end of the day, it's a story about intimacy, in which I tried to answer the question "why do we stay?" (Mădălina Stoica)
