PRACTICA la REACTOR
Between 2025 and 2027, we're offering an artistic practice framework for students through the UAT's Next? II project, run by the ARTE 21 – Poveștile lumii Association in partnership with the Reactor de creație și experiment Association Cluj-Napoca and the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș. Over 200 students will take part, from the following institutions: the University of Arts in Târgu Mureș, the Faculty of Theatre and Film at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, the "George Enescu" National University of Arts in Iași, the University of Craiova, and "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galați.
Over 4 semesters, in each practice placement 7 mixed teams are given the framework to conceive an original theatre production through different creative methods and to work on the first 15 minutes of that show. The teams receive mentorship and theoretical and practical support from 7 practice tutors — collaborating artists of the Reactor space with experience across different specialisations. At the end of each placement, one of the teams receives a prize worth 15,000 lei to complete the show they started, in co-production with Reactor and UAT.

Between 2021 and 2022, Reactor hosted a practice placement for students from the Faculty of Theatre and Film at Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca. Over 3 semesters, we worked with 3 student teams, challenging them to simulate running a theatre company — a collective, practical exercise in imagination that helped the students work and think like independent artists.
