The show is a free adaptation of Adina Rosetti's texts from the book "De ce zboară vrăjitoarele pe cozi de mătură? … și alte 10 întrebări fantastice" ("Why Do Witches Fly on Broomsticks? … and 10 Other Fantastic Questions"), published by Curtea Veche. "De ce îi e frică întunericului?" ("Why Is He Afraid of the Dark?") is a story about friendship, overcoming fears and trust. Little ones will be carried into a colourful world of witches, where they'll see what it's like to keep searching when you truly want something, and also what it's like when your biggest fear can become your best friend. The audience will befriend the Darkness and learn, alongside the main character, that true magic lies in overcoming your own fears.
The show is part of the focus on artistic experiment and research within the Retrospectiva 7 programme, through which we aim to discuss Reactor's main directions over its first 7 years of activity.
