GLIESE 445

A red dwarf star, somewhere in the constellation Camelopardalis. The road to it. Distance and homesickness. Everything we know, existing at once as both particle and wave. A bunker we're forced to take shelter in. Or a metro station. The moment we look into each other's eyes. The moment someone steps forward in front of the others and says something.

"Gliese 445" is a meditation on humanity's past and future, as well as a challenge to reflect on the fragility of life and theatre's power to imagine possible futures. In a world full of violence and uncertainty, five performers meet and dare to hope. They started from the question: "What if this were the last show in the history of humanity? Or in my own personal history?". They won't be able to fully imagine the scenario through to the end, but perhaps that's exactly what will be liberating.

The show is the result of a meeting between two teams - the one from Reactor and the one from the Andrei Mureșanu Theatre in Sfântu Gheorghe, who worked in parallel, mediated by technology, testing the possibilities of being together from a distance.
