While We Dwell

As city dwellers, we tend to overlook the principles underlying the connection between us and this highly complex construct. The installation connects the participating audience with soundscapes transmitted live from various locations across the city. Switching between three different channels, listeners create their own sound collage. The sounds of distant urban spaces are hybridized, creating spaces for personal projection. Out of this interdependent relationship, the boundaries between dweller and place blur, giving rise to the simultaneity of being both inside and outside the context.
