THE LITTLE PRINCE

When a grown-up, say, a pilot, knows that a drawing of a hat isn't a hat, but a boa constrictor that has swallowed an elephant, and a flower is no longer afraid of tigers and their claws, it means he sees with the eyes of a child. And when this grown-up accepts the friendship of a tamed fox, it means that a child, a prince among children, delights in the tiny sheep inside the box drawn by the grown-up. And if you don't see the sheep in the box, it's because eyes cannot see into the heart of things. You can only see clearly with your heart. That's what the Little Prince teaches us, just as he learned it, in turn, from the fox who wanted to be tamed.
