Reactor is thrilled to launch "Safe Zone", a wonderful project addressing misconduct in the university environment, with a special spotlight on arts faculties! The journey begins today, May 10, with the very first episode of our student-focused information campaign. This campaign brings you an exciting series of video materials, created in partnership with wonderful specialists in psychology, university ethics, and law—all designed to warmly support students in identifying and reporting any difficult situations. The first episode, sharing a comforting psychological perspective on abuse, is made together with the Minte Forte Association and is ready for you to watch starting today on the Reactor Cluj YouTube channel!
Be sure to tune in for Episodes 2 and 3, coming your way over the next two weeks on May 17 and May 24! The script for our debut episode is beautifully written by psychologist Paula Nuțaș and read by the talented Alexandra Caras. The delightful animation is brought to life by visual artist and film director Irina Ionescu, with fabulous audio recording and editing by Cirkular.
This project was lovingly born from a desire to bring light and warmth into arts faculties, where the lines between friendly familiarity and professionalism can sometimes blur and feel easily crossed. However, the fantastic information packed into this campaign is incredibly useful for any educational setting! It's a wonderful tool for both students and teachers alike to gain a clearer, brighter understanding of what constitutes abuse of power and how we can all work together to prevent or report it.
"Safe Zone" is an amazing, wide-reaching project! In addition to this informative campaign, we are so excited to bring you a lively debate, a supportive info session for students, and a brand-new theater production premiering this autumn—we can't wait to see you in the audience!
Our wonderful partners: Minte Forte Association, the Faculty of Theatre and Film in Cluj-Napoca, the "Ion Luca Caragiale" National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, the University of Arts in Târgu-Mureș, Scena.ro, Scena9
