Our Stage Blog!
Cluj is home to around 30,000 pupils! Every single day, we—the proud parents of these wonderful kids—plan tens of thousands of school runs, meals, and exciting educational, artistic, and sporting adventures for them. We are busy, on the move, and absolutely dedicated to building for them, piece by piece, the most magical childhood possible in the smartest and safest city in Romania. But what if we all paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and looked around with such curiosity that we started noticing the little wonders we usually miss? Then, we'd take a loooong breath out, letting a wave of wonderful energy drift over us, our children, and our beautiful city. What do you think would change?
We warmly invite you to a series of delightful writing workshops for parents! Together, we’ll inspire, dream, and co-create a fantastic theater play all about us and the vibrant city we call home.
These creative workshops are part of the exciting research process for an upcoming stage production (working title: “The Parent-Teacher Association”/“School run”) at the Reactor of Creation and Experiment!
FACILITATOR: Selma Dragoș – playwright and director. Selma is a mother and a passionate theater-maker! As a mom, she is secretly driven by the wish to be the absolute best—though she’d never admit it out loud, claiming instead that "it's the taking part that counts, not the winning!" In theater, she finds her spark in those real-life moments that are simply too extraordinary to believe.
CONSULTANT: Vlad Alexe – PhD candidate in sociology at Babeș-Bolyai University. Vlad works in mobility and urban sociology. By taking part in a friendly 1h30 interview for this project, you’ll not only help shape our theatrical script, but also contribute to a fascinating study on how we navigate and experience our city in our daily lives.

While attending all sessions is wonderful, please don't worry if you can't make them all. We know that in the busy life of a parent, little unexpected... "dramatic" twists happen, and we don't always have the luxury of a long-term commitment!

Would you love to join us but aren't sure what to do with your little one on a Thursday afternoon?
On Thursdays, our parent workshops will take place in the cozy Qub Education space, located on the ground floor of the Octavian Goga County Library (104 Calea Dorobanților). Just 10 meters away, in the library's children's section, the magic of STORY HOUR awaits—a free workshop just for kids!
Our Saturday workshops will take place at the Reactor of Creation and Experiment. We will coordinate the perfect times together once the group is formed.
For any questions or more details about the workshops, feel free to drop a friendly line to Selma Dragoș – selmadragos@gmail.com
