The writing workshop – #half-fiction is coordinated by the wonderful Selma Dragoș.
For Selma, the ultimate spark for writing comes from those real-life moments that you simply can't believe are true. The ones that, completely by accident, make you burst into silly little rhyming verses!
If you ever find yourself wandering through Cluj, looking around and wishing you had a witness to say, "Yes, that actually just happened!", then this creative space is absolutely meant for you!
Together, we’ll explore the vibrant life and streets around us, spotting those everyday moments that feel like they were written by a narrator who only did half the job—and we'll weave them into beautiful, complete stories!
Over 4 exciting days, you'll dive into fun (self-)documentary exercises on your own and in teams, enjoy fast-paced writing sprints and slow-motion crafting, and share warm, constructive feedback with fellow theater and story lovers, leaving with a wonderful draft you'll be eager to keep developing!
Schedule:
Friday, November 14 – 18:00 – 21:00
Saturday, November 15 – 11:00-15:00
Sunday, November 16 – 11:00-15:00
Saturday, November 22 – 11:00-15:00
Spots are limited to just 10 lucky participants, so please reserve your seat responsibly and only if you can join us for all of these creative sessions.

The workshop will take place at the cosy Reactor headquarters, 4 Petofi Sandor Street / Upstairs Hall
Selma Dragoș is a brilliant playwright and director. Lately, she’s been happily re-reading Ursula K. Le Guin's essays and creating wonderful theater scripts inspired by meeting people in workshops, conducting interviews, and saving random screenshots (which she immediately forgets about!).
This event is part of the "Spaces for Growth" project, proudly co-funded by the National Cultural Fund Administration. AFCN is not responsible for the content of the project or how its results may be used. These are entirely the responsibility of the funding beneficiary.
Project created with the kind support of the Cluj-Napoca City Hall and Local Council
