Writing Workshop - #half-fiction! Join the fun!
The writing workshop – #half-fiction is coordinated by the wonderful Selma Dragoș.
For Selma, the ultimate spark for writing comes from those real-life moments that you just can't believe are true! You know, those things you find yourself talking about and writing about in silly, spontaneous little rhymes.
If you ever find yourself walking through the vibrant streets of Cluj, looking around and wishing you had a witness to say, "Yes, that actually just happened!", then this workshop is absolutely for you!
Together, we’ll explore our city and our daily lives to find those quirky moments that feel like they were "planted" by a narrator who only did half the job—and then we’ll have a blast turning them into full, fabulous fiction!
Over 4 exciting days, you'll dive into individual and team (self)documenting exercises, write in thrilling sprints and creative slow-motion, and share warm, constructive feedback with fellow theatre lovers. By the end, you'll have a wonderful piece of writing that you’ll be eager to keep developing!
Schedule:
Friday, November 14 – 18:00 – 21:00
Saturday, November 15 – 11:00-15:00
Sunday, November 16 – 11:00-15:00
Saturday, November 22 – 11:00-15:00
Spots are limited to just 10 lucky participants, so please reserve your place mindfully and only if you can join us for all days of the workshop.

The workshop will take place at the Reactor headquarters, 4 Petofi Sandor Street / Upper Hall
Selma Dragoș is a talented playwright and director. Lately, she has been joyfully rereading Ursula K. Le Guin's essays and writing theatre texts inspired by lovely chats in workshops, interviews, and saved screenshots (which she immediately forgets about!).
This event is part of the "Growth Spaces" project, co-funded by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund. AFCN is not responsible for the content of the project or how the project results may be used. These are entirely the responsibility of the funding beneficiary.
Project carried out with the warm support of the Cluj-Napoca City Hall and Local Council
