Our Stage Blog!
A sneak peek at the future in our schools – joined by the wonderful Amelia, Andi, Irina, Luca, Miruna, Sofia, and Vlad!
On October 27th, starting at 4:00 PM, on Eroilor Boulevard, Reactor is absolutely thrilled to launch LOC – a fantastic virtual platform for art, education, and research, alongside The City of the Future – our very first installation hosted on the platform, which imagines a wonderful urban space through the eyes of Cluj's children! The installation will invite you to explore a virtual model of a future community as imagined by children, on a grand scale with an immersive 5-meter projection. This exciting experience will be accompanied by the launch of a publication documenting the whole creative process. The installation will remain open for your enjoyment from October 27th to November 24th, 2023!
To bring The City of the Future to life, a wonderful team of artists from the Reactor creative space and environmental specialists teamed up back in May with 8 fantastic children from the Octavian Goga General School. Together, they joined a lively interactive workshop to explore the magic of future living! Over four fun-filled days, they dreamed up their ideal homes and communities for a possible future, exploring our connection with nature, resources, and community living. The exciting result of this workshop, a virtual model of the city imagined by these creative kids, has been transformed into a marvelous augmented reality installation that we warmly invite you to discover using LOC!
Because the heart of this entire project is all about education and the wonders of learning, artist Mihai Păcurar invited the kids to share their dreams about the school of the future on the Reactor Blog. We are delighted to share their wonderful thoughts with you below!
