#dorufilter: Here's hoping for a month filled with bright sunshine and stage lights!

This season, you can hop over to our Instagram profile and see Reactor through the lens of the wonderful people who bring this magical place to life!

April is shaping up to be quite a unique month, one where our gates will have to stay closed for a bit. But don't worry, you can stay delightfully connected to Reactor through the eyes of Doru Taloș, who is happily—and of course, out of necessity—"isolated at work." Most of you probably know Doru, he’s "that cheerful red-haired guy" who has a handy answer for absolutely any question about Reactor. And no wonder, he knows it best, ever since it was just a tiny dream! He’ll tell you all about how Reactor truly becomes "home," and he'll be sharing his journey on Instagram with the hashtag #filtrudoru.

I always associate Reactor with a super active space, a bustling hub where there are always plenty of smiling faces around!

Teams rehearsing in shifts, volunteers happily tidying up the yard, colleagues heading off to or returning from exciting tours, crews putting up or taking down beautiful sets late into the night, guests cozying up in the guest room, eager theatergoers arriving a whole hour before showtime, noisy and joyful kids filling the place every Saturday morning, friends staying for a chat and a beer after a long day, colleagues building scenery in the yard, lovely spring barbecues with mushrooms and tasty local bites, and actors asking me to open the gates for them at 7 AM. It’s the very place we’ve painted, repainted, and colorfuly brightened dozens of times over the last few years!

So, here we are in quarantine, cozy and isolated at our workplace. But the creativity never stops—we will continue to work! We'll easily find plenty of exciting things to keep us busy for a while.

It's been wonderfully quiet for two weeks now, though Adonis did call us one evening saying he was at the gate and wanted to pop into the yard for a bit. We welcomed him and chatted for about 10 minutes from a very safe distance—it felt just like a friendly neighbor stopping by to borrow a pinch of salt!

For the very first time, I truly feel this place is like home; it's such a generous space, we have a lovely yard, and we feel incredibly privileged!

For the first time, I also feel that this place no longer solely depends on me. Whatever happens in the coming months, I know we have poured our hearts and souls into it. Beyond the gates, there are challenges that might threaten the stability of our cozy hub, but I don't feel a single bit of fear. Everything is going to be absolutely fine! This month, I’ll be sharing lovely snapshots on Instagram. I just hope it’s a month filled with bright, beautiful sunshine!
