Our Creative Frame of Mind: Perspectives!

The Framework platform was born in 2017, sparked by the wonderful vision of director and cultural mediator Raul Coldea! He created this platform out of a heartwarming desire to bring you, our fantastic audience, closer to our creative practice, to share the magic of what happens behind the scenes, and to better understand how our work at Reactor truly resonates with you. Over time, the platform's concept has beautifully evolved alongside our choice to always embrace timely, socio-political themes, while never losing our passion for exploring diverse and exciting performative forms.

So often, our artistic journeys, the themes we explore, and the ways we bring them to life on stage can benefit from extra bridges of communication! One of the loveliest roles of the framework is to gather us in a shared, friendly space to chat about our individual reactions to the shows—rediscovering our own unique encounters with art through a wonderful mix of diverse, and sometimes delightfully contrasting, experiences. We truly believe that every show we bring to the stage is a wonderful invitation to spark broad and lively conversations! That's why our framework chats use the play as a springboard to explore these themes far beyond the stage itself. Plus, in some sessions, we might even try out fun, creative exercises from our artistic process to boost and brighten our shared exploration of the topic, tailoring them to the group's great energy.

This March and April, we warmly invite you to four more of these delightful sessions, facilitated by our wonderful colleague Ioana Hogman! These will be dedicated to the spectacular shows GLIESE 445, PART 1. LOVE, THE DREAM, and THE NEMO POINT – an interactive performance.

EXCITING THEMES/KEYWORDS TO EXPLORE:

GLIESE 445: the end of a world, the fascinating relationship between humans and technology, modern-day threats, how we view work and define what is essential vs. non-essential, communication, care, and connection;

PART 1. LOVE: love and politics, memory and fiction, loss, isolation, and the beautiful sense of belonging;

THE DREAM: abuse and institutions, boundaries and safety, public vs. private life, solidarity, and the academic world;

THE NEMO POINT – an interactive performance: community, exciting alternative ways of social organizing, flat hierarchies, and shared rules of living.

No prior arts experience or specific opinion about the plays is needed at all to join the framework! On the contrary, our past sessions have shown us time and again that a wonderful mix of backgrounds and reactions is the perfect recipe for a brilliant conversation.

The only small requirement to join the framework is to have seen a performance of the featured show beforehand.

FRAMEWORK CALENDAR:

GLIESE 445 – March 17, 7:00 PM (performances on March 14, 15, 16)
