Our Stage Blog!

Join us for fabulous shows, creative workshops, radio drama, and inspiring discussions in a project celebrating work and love!

As the year winds down, the creative spark is just catching fire at Reactor! We are thrilled to kick off a brand-new, multi-annual cultural journey. Continuing our fascinating exploration of what the future holds, our exciting new program, Perspectives, will dive into tomorrow's world through the beautiful lenses of love, career paths, and personal space. Get ready for a wonderful ride with two fresh theatrical productions, engaging workshops, lively debates, and cozy radio plays exploring these themes from now until the sunny summer of 2023!

The magic is already brewing for our very first production, set to dazzle audiences next March! This delightful show will be directed by the wonderful Petro Ionescu, with a captivating script crafted by Cosmin Stănilă. Together, they will explore how love speaks and shows itself in our personal lives and the wider world of tomorrow.

This month, we are also hosting a fantastic, thought-provoking dialogue featuring the brilliant Croatian philosopher and author Srećko Horvat, alongside Cluj's own wonderful sociologists Dana Domșodi and Sorin Gog, titled Reinventing our future. Born in 1983, Srécko Horvat is one of the most exciting and dynamic voices in the contemporary intellectual scene. Since 2008, he has organized the famous Subversive Festival in Zagreb, a lively hub for social-political discussions. Together with Slavoj Žižek, he also co-authored the intriguing book "What Does Europe Want? The Union and Its Discontents." This captivating debate will touch upon love, work, politics, ecology, and philosophy. Be sure to tune in on January 11, 2022, on Reactor's YouTube channel to catch this inspiring season-opener!

And there is more good news! Srécko Horvat will keep collaborating with Reactor, returning to Cluj next year to host a wonderfully stimulating critical thinking workshop.

The Perspectives program is packed with artistic treats: a captivating storytelling workshop with Ana Maria Ciobanu from Decât o Revistă, a brilliant co-production between Reactor and the Andrei Mureșanu Theatre in Sfântu Gheorghe, and a delightful surprise collaboration with the National Radio Theatre. Plus, our beloved Framework critical thinking workshop is back in a fresh, exciting new format!

We can't wait to share more exciting details with you as they unfold over the next 18 months!
