Reactor at the 2026 UNITER Awards Gala

Reactor was present at the UNITER Awards Gala, held on Monday, May 28, 2026, on the stage of the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest, through our colleagues Alexandra Caras, Maria Elena Morar, Leta Popescu and Diana Mihalașcu, nominated in three categories.

We're happy to announce that our colleague Alexandra Caras won the UNITER trophy for Best Supporting Actress! Alexandra was awarded for the role of Mica in the show Dealul florilor by Calița Nantu, directed by Mark Cristopher Demeter, set design by Mihai Păcurar, developed as part of Drama 5 – playwriting residency, 10th edition.

The award is well-deserved recognition of the artistic maturity and professionalism Alexandra shows in every appearance on stage.

"For me, this nomination comes first of all with a feeling of validation and gratitude. Validation for a path that wasn't always clear or easy, and gratitude for all the people and encounters that shaped me along the way. I got to be part of a dedicated and curious team, with cool, committed and generous people, who put their heart into every project, the kind of team that makes you look forward to coming to rehearsals.

And maybe that's why I feel it as a confirmation that the work put in so far is part of a process that's primarily collaborative, with all its doubts and fragilities. Because there were also moments of exhaustion, uncertainty and questions. But I think this craft is built exactly out of the stubbornness to stay there and keep going, even when you have no certainty about the future. What matters is not stopping. Three other colleagues were nominated for their work on shows produced by Reactor: Maria Elena Morar – in the Best Debut category, for her roles in Lalele, păsări și beton, and Leta Popescu and Diana Mihalașcu, in the Best Romanian Dramatic Text Staged in World Premiere category, for the text of the show Lalele, păsări și beton, adapted from texts by Ovidiu Cioclov, Doina Gecse-Borgovan, Katia Nanu, Maria Orban, Oana Paler, Laura Stanciu, Livia Stoica, Dana Voicu.

For the 34th edition of the UNITER Awards Gala, the nominations jury was made up of theatre critics Oana Borș, Mihai Brezeanu and Iulia Popovici. The shows considered by the jury were those that premiered between January 1 and December 31, 2025.

The jury of the 2026 UNITER Gala that decided the winners was made up of: Cosmin Florea (set designer), Iulian Postelnicu (actor), Bobi Pricop (director), Miruna Runcan (theatre critic), Andrea Tokai (actress).
