We're in block D12, stairwell A, the Dealul Florilor neighbourhood, in a small Romanian town. We don't know the exact year, but there's a distinct 2000s feel in the air, when children's parents have gone abroad for work, all sorts of chemicals have started appearing at the market, and having lettuce in your school sandwich is still a sign of wealth.
Nepo grows up with her grandparents, frequently crosses paths with other family members, and in her rich inner universe, reality and the fantastical intertwine to help her cope with social norms: What do "boys-boys" do for a living? How do girls become "girly-girls"?
Hill of Flowers is a show about change, about how personal dreams and desires are shaped by specific contexts, and how you become the product of the environment you live in. Or how you resist it.

Show produced as part of the "Drama 5. 10th Edition" project, co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.
