Detached tells the story of Romanian workers in Germany, shedding light on what it's truly like to be far from home in a foreign country where neither the language, the employers, nor the law are on your side. The main characters of this captivating tale are a brave woman working in a German slaughterhouse and the crafty broker who set up her employment!
This wonderful show was brought to life as part of the "Drama 5 – Playwriting Residencies" project, 2nd Edition, 2017, proudly co-funded by the National Cultural Fund Administration and the Cluj-Napoca City Hall and Local Council. We are also thrilled to share that this event was funded by the Cluj-Napoca City Hall and Local Council through the exciting "Reactor 2021: Projections of the Future" project!
