Jánoska, the son of a poor widow, heads into the forest in search of wild apples, carrying only a crust of bread in his bag, as that was all left to eat at home. He kindly shares his bread with a poor beggar, and from that moment on, he becomes the proud owner of a magical golden apple! What does Jánoska do with this wonderful treasure fallen from the sky? Our story will tell you all! And as it always happens in beautiful fairy tales, he even makes his way to the emperor's court, boldly asking for the hand of the princess in marriage!

The Tree with Golden Apples is a delightful object theatre performance. Its first version was created in 2021 at the special request of the Magyarság Háza institution and was available to watch online. We are absolutely thrilled to share that the live, in-person object theatre version of this wonderful show was finalized in June 2025!
