About the series Grated Stories

What, and especially who, is the Grater?

And what does a story do on a grater? Does it get shredded, narrated, or does it play a trick on us?

Children's imaginations are often faced with hyper-polished toys and media that leave no room for completion, with games that already have a detailed, pre-written manual. They don't stretch the imagination or require any creative negotiation of meaning.

We warmly invite you to a wonderful series of performative readings where modest, everyday household objects transform into characters, magical places, and even deep emotions! Featuring the fantastic Oana Mardare—actress, mom, and chief storyteller (and grater)!

*All performances in the Animat programme will be accompanied by delightful mediation sessions.

This wonderful event is part of the exciting project Animat!
