The (W)hole is a delightful dive into an internet rabbit hole where folks bundle up looking for community, connection, and sheer entertainment! Teo.jpg, the cheerful creator of such a cozy virtual nook on Twitch, catches a viral wave to turn her beloved hobby into a full-time gig—brilliantly performing vulnerability and finding ways to heal and monetize her audience's blues. True to the digital playground that inspired it, this play is packed to the brim with memes, pop culture nods, giggles, tears, and plenty of wonderfully cringe-worthy moments for you to enjoy!
Alexandra Bădescu was born in Craiova and quite startled her grandmother with a birthmark on her face that wouldn't wash away with time, spit, or lasers! This lovely quirk cemented her role as a unique outsider, beautifully guiding her artistic passions and creative sparks toward everything tucked away at the edges of the mind and society: alienation, shame, family bonds, our connection to planet Earth, neurodivergence, the manosphere, and intense drama. Alexandra joyfully writes press articles, essays, feature and short film scripts, recipes, forensic reports, and now, brilliant theater! She writes in English, Romanian, Dutch, or most delightfully, a mix of all three, sprinkled with freshly invented words. It’s all driven by her wonderfully curiosity-filled quest to understand and process a world she has always lovingly observed from the sidelines!
